Be the Difference Foundation!

I've decided to created the Be the Difference Foundation. This foundation's goals are to encourage children who have disabilities, battle with cancer, and are less fortunate to dream big and to never give up on those dreams. It doesn't matter what situation life throws at you, when you have the love and support from your family or someone in your life, you can achieve anything you set your mind to!

I've created a shirt that will be sold for $15. All the profits from these shirts will go to a different organization each month. I also want to find mentors for these kids to help them reach these goals or just to direct them down the path that they need to be on to achieve these goals! These kids deserve just as much a chance to live their dreams as anyone else!

Miss America

So as one of the reigning 2011-2012 National Queens I get to go to the Miss America Pageant along with my sister queens for a brunch, the Live show of Miss America, and a photoshoot with Kathleen and Steve!

Unfortunately, at the moment my parents are saying that's not possible... sighs, I want to do all that I can to be able to go because it's such a great opportunity to get to know my sister queens as well as get to go to the pageant that I watch every year! But I guess all I can do now is hope...

First Interview

I have my first interview this Saturday (12/10/11) with the Vietnamese American Network at 1 PM. Not sure what it's about. But my follow up interview will be coming up soon with Miss Texas from the Princess division!

Exciting News!

Today I was asked by Hope Initiative to be the Marketing Coordinator for their Vietnamese Festival Pageant in March! YAY! They also asked if I would take part in the pageant as an officer/judge! I'm excited! I will be making my appearance as the National Cover Miss of National American Miss of course! I'm so excited!

The festival will take place on March 24, 2012. The Vietnamese Student Associations from the University of Houston, University of St. Thomas, Houston Baptist University, and Rice University will be hosting our annual Throw Down as well! I've been working hard with my friend choreographing UST's dance! It'll be an exciting day!

The Beginning of my 2011-2012 reign!

Wow this past week has been such an amazing one! I can't even find the words to describe it! Im so appreciative of all the sponsors, my family, and friends that helped me get to where I am today! Without them I wouldn't have done so well this past week. I also met a lot of great girls that I have no doubt we'll become great friends over time! National American Miss has been such a great experience for me since I first got involved when I was 12. This next year will be an amazing one!

Also a congratulations to the new National All-American Miss Amanda Moreno and the National American Miss from Missouri! Can't wait to get to know you girls better during our reigns!
